Brazil Satellite Image and Physical Map
Geopolitical
image and physiography of Brazil, with part of the Atlantic Ocean adjacent to
the coast and a small stretch of the Pacific Ocean (on the right, click to
enlarge). It includes the Brazilian oceanic islands. Hydrographic data, the
political division of Brazil and other
South American countries, national and state capitals, and Brazilian legal
maritime boundaries, territorial waters, contiguous zones, and exclusive
economic zones, were inserted on a topo-bathymetric basis. These data are based
on data from the IBGE (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics)
and the Brazilian Navy (2011). Image prepared by the National Aeronautics
and Space Administration (NASA's Earth Observatory), 2004, merging SRTM
terrestrial topography data with measured and estimated seafloor topography. It
includes additional text.
